Tempe. August 31, 2004 – Beaudry Way Out West Oktoberfest, the winner of the “2003 Arizona Event of the Year” award, was once again honored by the International Festivals & Events Western Region, receiving three awards at their annual Arizona Festivals Conference SRP AzTEC Awards luncheon held today at Sheraton Wild Horse Pass.
Tempe Sister City, the volunteer organization that produces Oktoberfest, was delighted to receive the following 2004 SRP AzTEC Awards:

Gold Award for the Best Black & White Print Advertisement for a festival with attendance over 20,000

Gold Award for the Best Newsletter, awarded for the quarterly Tempe Sister City newsletter

Outstanding Media Partner Award, presented to FOX 10 / UPN 45 for their partnership not only with the Oktoberfest event but also in support of the Tempe Sister City organization.
NoRa Trevino, Oktoberfest Chair, and David Bridger, Community Affairs Director for FOX 10, were on hand to accept the awards.
