A markup language, XML is used to represent information in blocked,
tagged modules, to identify and isolate content from its presentation.
The information industry is rapidly adopting XML, so it's time for tech
communicators to learn about it, whether or not we think we're ready.
Our speakers, Jim Cox and Phebe Packer, are with Motorola Computer
Group. They'll tell us about underlying issues, practical experience,
and future directions of XML, based on their work with structured
authoring and other information-handling methods at Motorola.
