Student
competitions held by the Phoenix Chapter and the international
Society for Technical Communication (STC) include:

Competition
(writing competition managed by the Society)

International Technical Writing Competition
(writing competition managed by the Phoenix Chapter) |
Students in
grades 4–12 who participate in the Central Arizona Regional
Science and Engineering Fair (CARSEF) and include a project
report with their display are automatically eligible to win
a writing award from STC’s Phoenix Chapter. We offer three
awards in each of the following CARSEF age categories.
Senior Division (Grades 9–12)
Monetary awards will be given tor first, second, and third place winners. Amounts are to be determined.

Junior Investigator Division
(Grades 7–8)
Monetary awards will be given tor first, second, and third place winners. Amounts are to be determined.
Junior Explorer Division
(Grades 5–6)
Monetary awards will be given tor first, second, and third place winners. Amounts are to be determined.

The STC Phoenix
Chapter enters Senior Division winners who are in grade 10, 11,
or 12 into the International Student Technical Communication
Competition (ISTCC). This competition is held by the
international STC organization. For details about ISTCC, see

The
international organization of STC judges project displays and
reports in the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF).
