– Get Recognized
By Tom Barnett,
Achievement Manager
Have you written an article recently for publication somewhere? Have you volunteered for STC outside the chapter? Given a presentation? We may want to put your name into our Achievements brochure to be published in June, and you can also help the chapter get recognized.
Community Achievement Award
The Community Achievement Award recognizes a chapter’s outstanding accomplishments towards the goals of STC. This award is presented only to chapters that have distinguished themselves by exceeding ordinary expectations.
Each spring, STC chapters are evaluated for their achievements during the time frame that includes April 1 to March 31. The Phoenix Chapter is in the process of compiling all the achievements accomplished this year.

in the national press on technical communication topics?
Were you a judge in a technical communication competition (at any
level)?
Did you participate in a multichapter or regional activity (such as
attending meetings of a statewide president’s council)?
Did you give a presentation at another STC chapter meeting?

Did you give a presentation at STC's annual conference?
Did you participate in a technical communication-related event at a
local college, university, or high school (such as staffing a booth
or speaking at a conference, career day, or science fair)?
Did you serve on an advisory board at a local college or university?
