Scholarship

The Phoenix Chapter will award a $500 scholarship this spring to an Arizona student selected from applicants who meet our criteria. The recipient will be a guest at the June 13 STC Phoenix Chapter meeting where the scholarship will be presented. 

Some of the criteria are

GPA Average Applicant must have a cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
  
Residency
Only United States citizens and permanent residents may apply.
  
Course of Study
The student’s must be enrolled in a technical communication program. 
  
Enrollment Requirement
All applicants must be enrolled as students at Arizona State University or Northern Arizona University. 
  
Essay
A one-page essay must accompany the STC Scholarship Application. The essay’s focus should 
  
  • Demonstrate the student’s interest in technical communication 
  • State the reason or reasons that the applicant should be awarded the scholarship over other applicants
Transcript 
Obtain a copy of the unofficial academic transcript from the educational institution that you attended last year, and submit it with your application.
  
Résumé 
Please attach a resume of your work experience.
  
Financial Need
Award is based on merit, but financial need may be considered.
