Society Board of Directors Meeting in London

The Society board of directors meets to discuss STC business and issues three times during the year. One of those meetings is always at the STC Annual Conference. The other meetings are typically in January and September or October.

There hasn't been an official announcement regarding the decision as to where the board meeting in the fall will be held, but Paula Berger, first vice president, has confirmed that the UK Chapter will host the fall board meeting in London on October 12-13, 2006.

This is the second time that a Society board of directors meeting has been held in Europe. The September 1998 meeting was held in Paris when Lance Gelein was president.

Members are welcome to sit in on most of the board meeting
(except Executive Session). I hope many of you can join us
at this meeting and all others.
